I feel like an old Bear

It has been so long since I have writer about anything I think I must have been hibernating. The C.W.S. [ charged water systems ] are going o.k. and I am getting some good feed back from the customers. However trying to get that in writing is proving a little harder though.

The old rover has now been sold with the hydrogen generator in tact, so the new owner is now experiencing the pleasure of extra mileage with`the old girl.`
The next project is to fit a dry cell unit to my Pug 406 estate, I read one blog where a guy is getting 72 m.p.g. from a 2 ltr. diesel. If I can achieve that I will be a `happy  bunny` roll on the DRY weather to get started.

Wet Cell Versus Dry Cell

The HHO kit fitted to my old rover was a Wet Cell, well two Wet Cells actually. However to try and fit a Dry Cell requires a little more space under the hood and the header tank needs to be higher than the Cell, as the gas rises, of course !!
Then you need to find a space for the filter between the header and the input venturi which needs to be as close to the engine as possible.

Gas supply venturi fitted prior to turbo, if fitted after, the turbo pressure will force gas back into the system, unless one way valve fitted in supply line. The gas needs to be sucked into the engine on idle and before the turbo.

I made a wooden cage to house the two wet cells. however need to be accessible in order to top up and clean approx @ 10000 miles.

A 30-50 amp in line fuse will protect the system.

A Pulse Width

  Modulator will regulate the amp supply, too high will get more gas however it may run hot, too low no or very little gas to benefit from reaching the engine.

Notice the  amp meter and isolator switch in the cabin, the system requires approx 1.8 amps to start producing the gas, I ran mine at approx 12-15 amps.

As stated previously my diesel consumption before was 34-36 local and 42-44 on a run. After fitting HHO generator 42-44 local and 48-50 on a run. Not bad for an old engine 2.5 ltr. with 180k on clock and improved power as the engine was de-carbonised with the gas burning hotter and faster.

Wow How Confusing Is That !!!

I have just spent hours trying to get back into my blogger dashboard.

I have two e mail addresses with Google but only one is connected to the Blog but I used one password for both. Every time I tried to sign in I was told I am not the author of any blogs ! The profile that I was using for my blog was different to the other e mail address so  there was confusion in the camp. Now that I have changed the password for my Blog e mail and signed in with that one separately, well here I am, bingo.

I am sorry that I have not been around for a while, it is a traumatic event moving house. Especially when a buyer pulls out of the deal and you have to pay Council Tax on two homes ! Yes, that`s right you are only allowed ONE month free, even if the house is empty and unfurnished. 

You are only allowed two late or missing payments and then threatened with Court and a further £40 charge " to secure their debt" plus a bill to the end of the Council Tax year.

I understood if you want to insure against bad debt that YOU had to pay the premium, not your client !!!

Another tip, if you have been pestered by calls from companies to reclaim PPI for you. O.K. if their commission is 30% that still leaves 70% for you, anything better than nothing eh. But, make sure there is not a debt on the card or that the account is not still `live` or any refund will be kept by the Bank and you will still be left with a bill from the claims Co. Even if you are paying off the card balance to a debt management Co. make sure they have purchased the debt and are not just managing the debt for the Bank.

Big Tip No. 3 Don`t ever, ever, ever, invest or purchase property in Cyprus, you will for ever regret your decision.

HAVE YOU GOT A DVR JOURNEY RECORDER FITTED

Well I am glad that I had one fitted and working last year on our journey back to Cornwall. It was a dark cold winter night, the wind was howling and the rain was falling `cats & dogs`. We had just reached a section of road where the street lights finished, so pitch black. My wife was driving and she had the headlights on full beam, but had to dip them due to oncoming traffic, then out of the dark this large deer appeared running across the grass verge. Then  BANG the car rode over the animal [ if you squeamish stop reading now ] when we came to a stop I ran back to recover the animal before someone else ran over it. I found one leg still intact to pull it onto the verge, it was not a pretty site. As we could not remove it for our freezer [the law says] I offered it to the couple in the next car that stopped !! As a deer is considered a Crown Animal we could not claim damages of `Her Majesty `and had to claim on our own insurers, tough eh.

The bumper was hanging off, water was leaking from somewhere, my Wife was shaking like a leaf in a thunder storm and I was trying to get a signal on my cell phone and avoid getting knocked down myself.

However, we have the incident on video due to the Dash-Eagle video recorder, one of my stock items. Almost everyone who buys one from me says the same thing “ I wish I had one fitted before MY accident” well that is my point. `It is no good bolting the stable door AFTER the horse has bolted` fit one NOW.

The old Rover has gone

Well the old rover has now been sold, I`ll miss the old girl after 12 years of faithful service. I hope the new owner get as much pleasure from driving her as I did, I know he will be pleased with the low fuel consumption as I left the Hydrogen Generator  connected, a good £375 worth of kit. At 20% more m.p.g. a hydrogen Generator would soon pay for itself.

Winters out Spring On Its Way Get the Cars Out

Now the cold wet days are fading away and the sun is showing its head the SAD days will soon be forgotten, at least for another year.
I`ll get the old car out of the garage and continue the experiments with HHO gas injection. With the price of fuel here in the U.K. ever going upwards, especially down here in the West Country we have to find a way of squeezing a few more miles per gallon from our cars. The results are greater with a 4 x 4 and we have pleny of them down here, especially older diesels which are easier to convert. There is more room under the bonnet and not so many MAP and MAF sensors to deal with.
Take a look around You-Tube and see how all the experiments are going, a DIY system is not so hard to set up and there are pages and pages of advice. I know there are conflicting statements but the only way to find the Truth is to try the experiments for yourself as I have done, in my case with some success in the old Rover.
