Journey Test Report 2 On Old Rover Saloon
Further testing on old Rover 825 SLDi
Topped up tank on 12th June @ 182084. Topped up again on 29th June 182427 = 343 miles with 31 ltrs. = 50.29 m.p.g.
Mostly motorway driving M25 and M4 but some A road and B roads. Not bad for a 2.5 diesel engine with Injector pump, not CR engine and very heavy car.
Now building three more kits for friends to try out, one on a Renault Synergy people carrier, so keep tuned and we will see what results we get from that one.
The problem with most cars is finding the room under the bonnet, pick- ups are the best for room and the most likely to want to save fuel with.
